Mr. AJ has served nationally as a dance educator since 2010, judged competitions regularly for 7 years, and continues to offer guest technique classes for students and professional development workshops for teachers. He offers classes in acro, ballet technique, and strength/strength for dancers and gymnasts.
- for dancers ages 8+, Mr. AJ's acro classes build a strong foundation for vocabulary including rolls, balances, backbends, aerials, walkovers, handsprings, tucks, floor tricks, and introductory contortion. Emphasis is placed on fundamental technique so skills and skill variations can be learned and performed with ease and grace. Drawing on yoga, ballet, and a background in the healing arts, class prioritizes clean lines, safe alignment, and sustainable training. Dancers develop high-level skills and a clear understanding of technique, supporting longevity and also the ability to communicate and teach movement effectively.
- for dancers ages 8+, Mr. AJ’s ballet classes are set to energizing instrumental music and move through an exploratory barre, across-the-floor work, and contemporary ballet combinations in center.
Classes invite a playful, curious approach while maintaining strong technical discipline, supporting dancers in integrating technique with artistry. Emphasis is placed on posture and presentation, technical clarity, movement quality, weight transfer, and expanding ballet vocabulary.
